External Resources and Grants
Dyslexia Support South
There are some funding options available for parents to apply to where applicable.
For those dyslexic students attending university there are also scholarship options available.
Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand (DFNZ)
Was formed in November 2006 to provide a voice for, and services to, the estimated one in ten New Zealanders with dyslexia as well as to those supporting them.
New Zealand Government
Resources to strengthen support for students with dyslexia will provide extra tools for the new Learning Support Coordinators (LSCs) as they start in schools.

You may be able to get financial support because of your child's extra needs. Kids Health provides a one stop support site for kids with a disability or chronic condition.
Firstport New Zealand
Many organisations in New Zealand make grants or award scholarships to disabled children, young people, and adults. You could apply for help to pay for things like equipment, education, and activities that increase your independence. Firstport has some places to start
